Human Behaviour Cards

Three decks. One complete team-level resource.

Founding Organisation Price $395 Self-guided and self-facilitated

The Human Behaviour Cards are a standalone card-based resource for frontline teams and their managers. Three decks that work together to name the behavioural risks that emerge when people work with AI, build practical responses, and sustain better habits over time. No specialist knowledge required. No external facilitation needed. No transformation program before you can begin.

1

Behaviour Risk Cards

45 named behavioural risk patterns across six themes. Gives teams shared language to name what they are already experiencing when working with AI. Grounded in documented behavioural science.

2

Better Behaviour Cards

45 concrete counter-practices matched directly to the risk cards. Translates named risks into specific governance behaviours that protect human judgement in AI-assisted work.

3

Human Hacks

A practice deck of activities, scenario cards, and community impact cards. Builds the habits, individual awareness, and collective commitments that make better behaviour sustainable over time.

How It Works

How they work together

The three decks are designed to be used together, though each also stands alone. There is no single correct pathway. Regular use builds faster, clearer, and more confident human judgement over time.

Step 1

Name what is happening

Use the Behaviour Risk Cards to identify the patterns already emerging in your team. Give them a name. Shared language is the foundation of shared action.

→

Step 2

Choose what to do instead

Use the Better Behaviour Cards to find a concrete response. Each risk card cross-references the counter-practices that address it directly.

→

Step 3

Build the practice

Use Human Hacks to embed change through team activities, scenario conversations, and reflective practice. This is what makes the shift sustainable.

How teams use them

Pick up a Behaviour Risk Card before or after using an AI tool at work. Read the named risk and ask: does this feel familiar? Am I doing this right now? Use a Better Behaviour Card to find a concrete alternative.

Works well for: daily reflection, reviewing an AI-assisted piece of work, preparing for a team conversation about AI use, building personal awareness over time.

Share a card with a colleague. Name the risk together. Discuss whether you have seen it in your team’s work. Use Human Hacks for a structured conversation or a short reflective activity with two to four people.

Works well for: peer supervision, check-ins between managers, informal conversations about AI culture, team debriefs after a project that involved AI tools.

Open a team meeting with a card draw. Ask each person to respond to one risk: have you seen this? What did it look like? Run a Human Hacks activity as a 15-minute team warm-up or as a dedicated agenda item.

Works well for: opening a broader conversation about AI culture, building shared language across a team, regular check-ins on how AI is landing in day-to-day work.

Use Human Hacks scenario cards or community impact cards as the basis for a structured facilitated session. Work through a scenario as a team, draw on Behaviour Risk Cards to name what is happening in the scenario, and use Better Behaviour Cards to build a team response.

Works well for: all-staff sessions, team away days, professional development days, or as part of a broader governance or culture change process. The cards are also embedded throughout the Not For Humans Governance Toolkit for leadership groups.

The Human Behaviour Cards are fully embedded in the Not For Humans Governance Toolkit — a whole-of-organisation program for for-purpose leadership groups. If your organisation is ready for a structured governance process across your leadership team, the Toolkit builds on the cards throughout its seven sessions.

Who This Is For

Built for the for-purpose sector

The Human Behaviour Cards were designed specifically for managers and their teams in for-purpose organisations: not-for-profits, NGOs, and community organisations navigating AI adoption without dedicated governance capacity.

No specialist knowledge required. No consultant needed. No transformation program before you can begin. The cards are built to be picked up and used — by any manager, with any team, in any session.

If your organisation exists to support people rather than generate profit, and AI is arriving in your work whether you invited it or not, this resource was built for you.

Particularly suited to

Frontline managers and team leaders

Supporting staff who are using AI tools in their day-to-day work, often without formal guidance or governance.

HR and people and culture leads

Building shared language around AI behaviour across a workforce, as part of onboarding, professional development, or cultural change.

Governance and risk teams

Translating high-level AI governance frameworks into practical, team-level conversations and accountability.

Facilitators and organisational development practitioners

Delivering structured AI governance conversations with leadership groups and teams across the sector. See the facilitator resources page for more.
